The Hopewell
Brotherhood is founded and deeply rooted in the principles as listed in
Romans 12: 10-12, 15, and 21 and 2 Peter 1:7 KJV which reads as follows:
10 - Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love, in honour
preferring one another; 11 - Not slothful in business; fervent in
spirit; serving the Lord; 12 - Rejoicing in hope' patient in
tribulation' continuing instant in prayer, 12 - Rejoice with them that
do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 21 - Be not overcome of evil,
but overcome evil with good. 2 Peter 1:7 - And to godliness brotherly
kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity.
The Hopewell Brotherhood promotes brotherly
togetherness while demonstrating Christian love. Our goal is to bond
young and old men together through the sharing of activities. These
activities include singing, camping, fishing, bowling, golf, basketball,
conferences, and other events. We strive to sponsor events that will
strengthen our friendships and bind us together, so that one can't fall
without the other. We will foster spiritual development and growth in
our youth through Christian education and by actively supporting other
church organizations and auxiliaries as needed. The brotherhood also
stresses the importance of being a positive role model for the younger
men of our church and community by glorifying the Lord in all our
endeavors.
