Leroy R. Cole was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Graduating from Southern University, Reverend Cole was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U. S. Army. After serving his country throughout the world, he received an honorable discharge from the Army as a Captain. Reverend Cole has held several positions as: an Electrical Engineering Manager, Director of Manufacturing Engineering, and Director of an European Manufacturing Operation in the Netherlands. He recently retired from Triana Industries where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Reverend Cole has been blessed to travel extensively to such countries as England, Austria, Belgium, France, Sedan, Japan and India.
But, more importantly than these accomplishment, has been the success of his ministry at Hopewell. God has continuously blessed Hopewell under Pastor Cole's direction and spirit filled leadership.

Reverend Leroy R. Cole was called to pastor Hopewell in 1978. He watered the seeds planted by his predecessors with the word of God and the anointing of the Holy Ghost. He coined the phrase, "Hopewell Experience" which is popular throughout New Market, Huntsville and surrounding areas. Hopewell is a church that is Commissioned by God, Committed by Faith and Challenged by Love to build up the Kingdom of God. Due to a significant increase in church membership, Hopewell had to start a building program. God blessed us to worship in our new facility on September 13, 1998.

Pastor Cole is married to Mrs. Linda Graham Cole and they have been wondrously blessed with four sons: Lamar, Lance and Ladell Cole and Damien Godwin.
